DUSK VANGUARD — Free 2D Elemental Beat ’em Up

Choose one of four elemental fighters and battle through five side-scrolling chapters, each with three enemy waves and a boss. Chain punches, leap into aerial attacks, guard and break defenses, and spend mana on elemental waves, rising strikes and dashes. Smash crates, collect health or mana bottles and pick up a staff. Landscape on desktop, tablet and phone; arrow keys plus D/F/G on desktop, right-side joystick and three left-side action buttons on touch. Solo campaign with three difficulty levels and local best score and chapter unlocks.

Controls

Landscape required on all devices; rotate to pause without losing the run. Arrow keys move left/right and forward/back across the arena. D attacks or collects a nearby item; F jumps; G holds a directional guard. Hold Shift with arrows to run; push the touch joystick fully to run. Repeated attacks form a three-hit combo; jumping attacks and running attacks knock opponents down. Within 0.45 seconds of pressing Guard, steer then Attack for an elemental wave (24 MP), Guard + Up + Attack for a rising strike (32 MP), or Guard + direction + Jump for a dash (32 MP). Touch uses a right-side joystick and left-side Attack, Jump and Guard buttons with simultaneous pointers. Guard blocks attacks from the facing direction and consumes guard stamina; a broken guard leaves you exposed. HP/MP bottles and a 12-use staff are collected with Attack beside them. Defeat all enemies in a wave, follow GO right to continue, and clear all five chapters to win. Retry restarts the current chapter. Esc/P pauses and M toggles sound; sound is off on every load, enabled only explicitly. Blur, hidden tab, rotation and Info pause and clear input. Context menus, selection, scrolling, drag, double-tap and gesture zoom are suppressed on controls. Only best score and unlocked chapters are stored locally; no online or local multiplayer, no editor, no account. Defeating an enemy restores 6 HP/MP, clearing a wave restores 22% HP and 30 MP, and reaching the next chapter restores 40% HP and 40 MP, capped at maximum.
